In Memory of Ian & Ala Sussens

There was great sadness at Tshukudu Game Reserve – Ian, who ran the Bush Camp (with his wife Sylvia) and Ala, his mother were both killed in a tragic car accident 2 weeks’ ago. Such a huge loss and sorely felt by Alfie and Sabine, who have known & worked with them for a long time. Their loss will be felt by all who knew them!

Just reading about this tragic loss. We have very good memories going on gamedrives with Ian. Good to see on the picture his beloved Savanah had some cups. It must be a big loss to the family and Tsukudu.

Sorry to read about Ian's passing. I am a distant relative. My father was Arthur Sussensand I phoned Ian not so long ago and he explained what he knew of the Sussensfamily tree. He seemed like a very nice person. I am sorry for the families' loss.

I have just finished Ala's great book - and searching for some info about Tsukundu I learned of Ala's and her son's and his wife's death - what a tragedy! Never expected - memento mori. It is so good the book with Ala's memory had been published and we had a chance to follow Her such interesting history. My deepest sympathy to Ala's Family and friends.

I'm very sad to hear of the loss. Ian was a good man. I visited Tshukudu Game Lodge with my high school class back in 98-99. Good times were had by all.
