UK's Journey of a Lifetime (JoLt) arrived in Windhoek on Sunday 13 July. In collaboration with Jenman Safaris we met the JoLt group there and for the next 28 days we made our way through Swakopmund, the "Adrenalin Capital" of Namibia, where the group jumped on quad bikes and sand sledges and explored the sand dunes; the Cape Cross Seal Colony & Spitzkoppe for close-up encounters with seals & some team sports challenges; Etosha National Park, Okonjima and its Cheetah Sanctuary, the Namib Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei, Fish River Canyon and Hobas, the Kalahari desert where we met up with some Bushman guides and trekked further into the desert to explore; and Khamkiri for some kayaking.

After that it was time to say good bye to magnificent Namibia and make our way across the border into South Africa.. Our first stop was Kimberley where we took a tour of "The Big Hole" - the largest hand-dug excavation in the world, and the museum to find out more about the history of the area.
